The IT courses that the National institute of education (NIO) organizes are designed for each teacher who wants to improve their IT knowledge and to be aware of the information technologies, no matter of the subject they teach. The IT education offers courses for teachers of many different subjects, so that they can learn how to use internet as a way of teaching. The courses are held in three laboratories – one in Oriahovitza village and two in Nova Zagora.
The IT development is on much higher level in comparison to the skills of many bulgarian teachers. That’s why buying new hardware and software for people who cannot work with it, is a pointless investment. The aim of the NIO IT courses for teachers is to improve their professional skills, so that they can work efficiently for the bulgarian education.
The main courses organized by NIE are designed not only for IT teachers, but also for geography, maths, history, philosophy teachers, school head-masters. During the whole year NIE offers wide range of special 5-day courses in Oriahovitsa village.
